Spring 2023 ACM Camp - "Daniel: A Musical Adventure"
REGISTRATION IS OPEN UNTIL JUNE 10th!
There are several options offered this summer for "Daniel: A Musical Adventure" Music Camp June 12th - 16th. Payment must be made in full either before or by the first day of the semester, unless a payment plan has been established.
Auditions for Daniel A Musical Adventure:
Saturday May 20th. 11am-12 room 111.
Thursday May 25th at 7pm-8pm.
Prepare a short 1 minute song excerpt of your choice.
Pre-camp rehearsals for Daniel A Musical Adventure:
June 3, from 10am-12pm, room 111 (choir), room 122 (orchestra)
June 10, 10am-12pm, room 116. room 122 (orchestra)
Camp: Daniel A Musical Adventure:
June 12-16, 9am-3pm, (AUSD provides lunch!)
Performance June 16 at 5:30pm-6:30pm in Munson Recital Hall
Option 1: Regular camp
Choose between art-stage design, orchestra/band, or Choir/Vocal Solos (cost $200)
Pre-camp rehearsals (expected attendance, but email [email protected] if you have conflicts): Saturdays, June 3 and June 10 from 10am-12pm
Regular Camp Rehearsals Rehearsals: Full week Monday through Saturday of June 12-16th, from 9am-3pm each day.
Performance on Friday June 16th at 5:30pm. Lunch is provided by the Azusa Unified School District.
Auditions for lead vocal rolls will be Saturday May 20th from 11am-12pm in room 111, and Thursday May 25th from 7pm-8pm.
Option 2. Shine Choir
In May and June with or with/out the Summer Camp (cost $30/$100)
Shine choir will be run for 3 sessions before the camp on Saturday mornings from 9am-9:55am as listed below.
1. May 20th. [and NO rehearsal on May 27th due to the holiday weekend]
2. June 3
3. June 10
Regular camp June 12-16, mon-fri, with a special schedule created just for shine choir (times tba to help make it family friendly)

Daniel: A Musical Adventure is a musical based on the stories of Daniel in the Bible. The story includes the famous scenes of the fiery furnace and the lions' den. You can download and review the musical score and story here:

We have a number of lead roles that could be filled by male or female singers. These roles are open to all ages including colleges students and adult community members. You may audition in person on Thursday, May 25 at the APU School of music room 111 between 7-8pm, or email a Self tape/Video audition by midnight Thursday June 1 to Kristen Hamilton <[email protected]>.
All Roles open ages 4-92, blind casting
