Below is our full list of classes and class descriptions. Please review all of our class offering and private lessons. Once you have decided on all the courses and lessons you would like you may continue onto online registration form by clicking the button above. You will register for all of your classes and lessons at one time.
World Music Symphony Orchestra
Prerequisite: 1.5 years of study on the instrument that they will play in the orchestra. No age requirements.
Instruments: Orchestral instruments
Time and dates: Saturdays 9:30 - 11:30 am, September 8 - November 10, 2018
Description: Come experience an exciting exploration of music from around the globe! Participate in rehearsals and concerts that develop a variety of worldwide artistic expressions and cultural understanding. The orchestra is led by worldwide Opera and Orchestra Conductor and Official Ambassador of Colombia Country Brand Maestro Barbosa-Vásquez. Additionally, Nigerian Composer in Residence and Assistant Conductor, Anderson Asiago, positions the orchestra as a unique environment for youth to develop musical and cultural literacy.
Cost: $200 for the 10 week session. $350 for fall and spring commitment.
Class discount: If you register for private lessons (Student teacher or Professional level) on your orchestra instrument with us you can receive a 50% discount on this class and pay only $100!

Ages: Recommended for 11 and up, younger students by audition (no need to audition if you have previously been in choir with Mr Horton).

Ages: 11 and up
Times and dates: Saturdays 8:30 am-9:25 am, September 8 - November 10, 2018.
Description: This class will teach youngsters how to use music software to compose their very own music! Not only do they learn valuable technological skills but they learn various composition techniques as well! What a great combo!
Prerequisites: Basic understanding of musical notation (Staff, measures, time signature, key signature, letter names on the staff, rhythmic notation)
Cost: $50 for the 10 week session.

Group Ukulele Class Level 1 Class CLosed For Registration

Guitar Ensemble and Fretboard Harmony
Ages: 9 and up
Time and dates: Saturdays 11:40 am-1:00 pm, September 8 - November 10, 2018.
Description: This class is a classical guitar style ensemble. Guitarists will play in a group, each with their own special part, in order to create beautiful classical music.
Prerequisites: Must be able to read and play all notes in the first position (first four frets) on the guitar.
Cost: $100 or free for those who have paid and enrolled in professional private guitar lessons.
Class discount: Receive this class FREE if you are registered for Professional Private Guitar Lessons. Must meet prerequisite of class.
Time and dates: Saturdays 11:40 am-1:00 pm, September 8 - November 10, 2018.

This is a performing group with 1-3 performances at local churches and/or Christian events per semester. Band participates in many online social media formats as well such as Facebook, Instagram, website, and more.
Prerequisites: By Audition. MUST CONSENT TO AUDIO, IMAGE AND VIDEO RELEASE IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE IN CLASS. CAN BE DONE AT TIME OF REGISTRATION.

Private Lessons
CLOSED FOR REGISTRATION
We have two levels of private lessons: Private Professional Lessons taught by our ACM professional level teachers or Student Teacher Private Lessons taught by APU music majors. We offer private lessons on all instruments for both levels.
Student Teacher Private Lessons are offered on all instruments. These lessons are taught by APU music majors who are currently earning their music degrees at APU. These well educated and dedicated music majors will provide 30 min lessons on Saturday mornings for 10 weeks. Your child's lesson time will be arranged to fit class schedules and you will be contacted the week before for specific lesson times.
For Private Professional Lessons we always have on staff a professional level guitar, voice and piano teacher as those are our most popular lessons. If you need professional level lessons for any other instrument please choose "Other Private Professional Lessons" and list the instrument your child plays. We will then hire a professional from our list of available instructors for you. Ten, 30 min lessons will be given over the course of 10 weeks by one of our professional teachers. Lessons are by arrangement and students will be prepared for participation in the end of semester recital. Scholarshipare not available for Private Professional Lessons.
